Meet Christie Manners

     Martha Beck says, "The way we do anything is the way we do everything." I do everything with intention.  A former supervisor said, "Christie always knows the 'Why' behind everything she does."  I am deeply analytical, and I can make quick decisions.  I work hard, and I play hard.  My favorite way to play is exploring our national parks. I took the photo on the right at the Redwood National Forest at the pinnacle of a 5,000 mile, 35-day camping, hiking, and driving trip.

     I simultaneously see the details and the big picture, the stitches and the tapestry.  I move seamlessly between the technical and the relational. In educational circles, I'm known as the "Warm Demander" I have very high expectations of myself and those around me, and I know that people perform better when they are given affirmations of success and a goal to aspire to than a stick to run from. I treasure the experience of others knowing that people younger than me bring new knowledge, high ideals, and great enthusiasm, and people older than I am bring wisdom and perspective.
